In Lethbridge (our largest marketplace) Avonlea branched into land development in 2002 (Southgate and Legacy Ridge North) to assure a steady supply of lots and multi-family sites for the home building division. Avonlea Land Corp. Ltd. has now positioned Avonlea Master Builder with land for the next ten years with strategic locations in West and North Lethbridge (watch for "The Piers and BlackWolf" in 2009). We create architecturally controlled, safe, pedestrian friendly neighborhoods as our signature for future generations. With this input we plan neighborhoods for every clientele we serve, namely; entry level, family and estate homes and adult communities. Following these principals Avonlea provides for an adequate supply of homes, in every price range at all times. By this we mean that we have ready product available for immediate possession and also on a 30, 60 and 90 day basis. We have come to the conclusion that if you sell your existing home you don't always have 6 to 8 months to wait to have your new home built.

Two of the biggest challenges in the past two years have been safety and energy efficiency.

Safety in the workplace, our home sites and after possession are paramount to us. We strive to be accident free and provide on-going safety training for our staff, suppliers and sub-contractors. Energy efficiency in our current world of ever increasing costs and damage to our environment is our present biggest focus. We strive to build a better home now more than ever through plan re-designs, use of energy saving technology and construction methods.
